Premix Procurement Checklist

Premixes and additives concentrate both value and risk. Use this checklist to make offers comparable and to prove that what was declared is what arrived.

Short answer: Before ordering premix, verify the declared potency of every vitamin and trace mineral, the mineral sources and carrier, the overage applied, the inclusion rate per tonne of finished feed, blending accuracy and particle size, stability under your pelleting and storage conditions, the certificate of analysis per batch, registration in your market, shelf life and the minimum order quantity. A premix price only means something at the same declared specification and inclusion rate. Your nutritionist owns the final premix specification.
