These Buyer Terms apply to every business that submits a request for quotation (RFQ) or otherwise asks FeedMatch to source feed, ingredients, additives, premixes or feed-production plant and equipment. They add to the Terms of Use, which explain FeedMatch's role: a managed, human-led procurement service that reviews your request, researches and contacts suppliers on your behalf, compares their offers and introduces you to a supplier after you approve an offer. Under the current service FeedMatch does not sell the goods and is not a party to the supply or equipment contract.

1. Business buyers only

You confirm that you act for a business — for example a feed mill, integrator, farm business, importer or investor — and not as a consumer, that you are authorised to submit the request for that business, and that the company, project, location and end-use information you give is accurate. Request forms ask you to confirm this. If, despite these terms, you are a consumer, mandatory consumer protections apply.

2. Free for buyers

FeedMatch charges buyers no fee. FeedMatch is paid by suppliers or financing partners under separate written agreements (see the Terms of Use). That does not change how suppliers are selected for your request.

Plant and equipment projects qualify from a budget of US$250,000. That minimum does not apply to feed, ingredient, additive or premix supply requests, which are reviewed on specification, viable volume, destination and logistics.

3. How your request is handled

• A person on our team reviews the request and may ask you to clarify the specification, volumes, delivery terms or documents.
• The team contacts suitable suppliers on your behalf and asks them to quote on the same written basis.
• Offers are compared in your private project room. Each item is labelled as a supplier declaration, a document FeedMatch has seen, a FeedMatch estimate, or pending.
• Supplier identity and contact details are shared once you approve an offer. Before that there is no direct contact between you and the supplier through the Service.
• FeedMatch acts on your request but is not your legal agent: it cannot sign, order or commit for you unless you agree that in writing.

4. Your responsibilities

• Define your requirements — specification, analysis basis, volumes, packaging, destination, delivery schedule and acceptance criteria.
• Evaluate samples, specifications and documents, and verify that the supplier and the product suit your use, with your own qualified nutritionist, veterinarian or engineer. FeedMatch does not prescribe nutrition or replace those advisers.
• Obtain permits and registrations, and handle import and customs clearance, where you are the importer of record.
• Inspect and accept the goods, and store and use them safely after delivery.

These responsibilities do not shift to you any duty the law places on the supplier, such as the safety, composition, labelling or traceability of the goods it supplies.

5. Contracts with suppliers

A supply or equipment contract is made only between you and the supplier, when both sign a written agreement or the supplier gives a written order acceptance on terms you both agreed. Read and negotiate the supplier's terms — including specification, delivery, warranties, exclusions, acceptance tests and payment — before you sign. An RFQ, quotation, comparison or introduction is not a contract (see the RFQ Terms).

6. Information you receive

Offer comparisons, estimates, market prices and calculator results are indicative and can be incomplete or out of date. A FeedMatch estimate is our working figure, not a supplier's commitment. Verify every figure in the supplier's written offer before you rely on it.

7. Confidentiality and use of supplier information

FeedMatch keeps your request and project files confidential and shares only what a supplier needs to quote. Use the supplier offers and documents you receive only to evaluate and complete the transaction they were provided for.

8. Financing

Any financing introduction is optional and happens only after a separate, specific consent naming the provider, purpose, destination, data and retention. No financing-provider relationship is currently verified. Approval and terms belong to the independent provider; FeedMatch does not guarantee financing.

9. Records and cooperation

Keep the transaction and traceability records the law requires of you [retention periods — to be set by counsel], and tell FeedMatch promptly if you learn of a recall, safety incident, suspected fraud or regulatory inquiry linked to a transaction introduced through the Service.

10. Fair use

Do not submit fake or misleading requests, use requests only to benchmark prices without genuine sourcing intent, or deal directly with a supplier FeedMatch introduced in order to avoid a fee that supplier owes FeedMatch. See the Acceptable Use Policy.

11. Liability

Liability between you and FeedMatch is governed by section 17 of the Terms of Use, including the limits that can never be excluded. Claims about the goods or their delivery are made against the party that owes the relevant obligation under the supply or equipment contract.

12. Governing law

These Buyer Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Cyprus, and the competent courts of Cyprus have jurisdiction [governing law, court and any exclusivity to be confirmed by counsel]. If, despite these terms, you are a consumer, the mandatory consumer protections of your country of residence apply and are not affected.
