Why define capacity before requesting feed mill quotes?

A 5 TPH mill and a 50 TPH mill differ in grinding, mixing, pelleting, automation and civil scope. Without a stated capacity and operating profile, supplier quotations price different plants and cannot be compared.

When does a project need extrusion instead of pelleting?

Floating aquafeed and high water-stability feeds require extrusion; sinking feeds for some species can be pelleted. The process route changes line scope, dryer sizing and energy cost, so it must be decided at the requirement stage.
