The toxins that matter
Aflatoxin B1, deoxynivalenol (DON), zearalenone, fumonisin B1+B2, ochratoxin A and T-2/HT-2. Multi-mycotoxin exposure is the norm, not the exception.
Sampling
The largest single source of error. Draw 100+ incremental samples from a truck or silo (GAFTA / GIPSA / ISO 24333 protocols) and composite before subsampling to the lab.

Mitigation
Rejection thresholds first, then physical cleaning, then binders (bentonite, activated carbon) for polar toxins and deactivators (enzymes, yeast cell wall) for trichothecenes.
