What does the additive cost planner calculate?
It multiplies each additive inclusion rate (grams per tonne of finished feed) by its price per kilogram to produce a cost per tonne of feed, a total program cost per tonne and an annual additive spend at your production volume.
How do I compare buying a finished premix against self-dosing?
Enter the additives you would dose yourself and set the finished-premix quote for the same nutritional package. The planner shows the delta per tonne and per year, before the handling, accuracy and traceability cost of dosing micro-ingredients in-house.
Does this replace a nutritionist?
No. Inclusion rates must come from your nutritionist or premix supplier for the species, phase and raw material matrix. The planner only costs the program you specify.
How is the output used in procurement?
It gives a defensible per-tonne benchmark so premix and additive quotes can be compared on the same inclusion rates instead of on headline price per kilogram.
