What determines real capacity on an extruded aquafeed line?
In most extruded aquafeed plants the dryer and cooler set the practical throughput, not the extruder nameplate. Capacity should always be quoted against a stated recipe, pellet diameter, moisture in and out, and operating hours per day.
Which specifications must be fixed before requesting quotes?
Species and life stage, pellet diameters, floating or sinking, target water stability, oil inclusion and post-extrusion coating, daily tonnage and operating hours. Without these, supplier quotations are not comparable.
