How do you plan a feed mill layout, equipment scope and automation level?

Plan in material-flow order. Fix the layout zones first — intake, raw-material storage, dosing and grinding, mixing, pelleting or extrusion, finished storage and load-out, plus utilities. Then set the equipment scope stage by stage against the capacity in tonnes per hour and the storage days you need. Then choose the automation level: manual, semi-automatic, or fully automatic with batch traceability. 1. Layout — zones in material-flow order

What capacity is realistic to plan for?
