How do I increase feed mill capacity?
Establish the effective tonnes per hour of every stage — intake, grinding, batching, mixing, conditioning, pelleting or extrusion, cooling, conveying, packing — and find the lowest. Test whether operating hours, changeover reduction and availability close the gap before spending capital. Then scope the limiting stage together with the next constraint, and confirm storage and utilities can support the higher rate.
Can I increase feed output without building a new factory?
Frequently yes, for a moderate step. Debottlenecking one or two stages, extending shifts, raising availability and adding storage buffer often deliver a meaningful increase inside the existing building. Larger steps usually require utility upgrades and additional silos, and at some point a second line becomes the more practical route.
What equipment must be upgraded when feed production doubles?
Doubling output puts grinding, batching cycle time, mixer size, conditioning and press capacity, cooling, conveying, packing and load-out under review, alongside raw-material and finished-feed storage, electrical capacity and steam generation. Which of them actually needs replacing can only be established by a technical capacity review of your plant.
