
Feed enzymes: what they do and how to source them
Feed enzymes unlock nutrients otherwise wasted, reducing raw-material cost 2–6% per tonne of feed. They are specification products: dose in FTU or U/kg, apply the correct matrix value in the formula and verify thermostability at your pelleting temperature.

Phytase
Releases phytate-bound phosphorus, calcium and amino acids. Dose 500–2,000 FTU/kg; super-dosing (>1,500) is standard in broilers.
Carbohydrases
Xylanase, β-glucanase and cellulase degrade non-starch polysaccharides in wheat, barley and rye. Essential in Europe and Asia-Pacific.
Protease and amylase
Complement endogenous digestion — matrix values apply on top of ingredient-level digestibility coefficients.
Thermostability
Coated products survive 85–95°C conditioning. Request enzyme recovery data at your specific pelleting profile before contracting.
