ATS ampacity and transfer
ATS is sized to full running load + 25% motor-inrush margin, rounded up to the next standard frame (100–3200 A). Open-transition is the default; closed-transition is used on very-large complexes that need uninterrupted scheduled genset tests.
Sequence with genset
Grid fails → UPS holds critical load → ATS starts genset → genset synchronises → ATS transfers load → UPS returns to standby. FeedMatch specifies this sequence in the RFQ.

How much UPS runtime does a hatchery need?＋
Typically 3–5 minutes at full critical load — enough to bridge to the standby generator. Longer runtimes are quoted only when the genset itself is single-point-of-failure or is offsite.
How is ATS ampacity chosen?＋
Full farm running load + 25% motor-inrush margin, rounded up to the next standard frame. FeedMatch sizes the ATS from the same single-line diagram used for the genset.
