LFP is the default: 6,000+ cycles at 80% DoD, thermal stability, 10–15-year design life. NMC only for footprint-constrained sites. FeedMatch does not shortlist lead-acid on new commercial builds.
Lithium (LFP) BESS is quoted stand-alone or as part of a PV hybrid. On poultry sites it delivers bridge-to-genset, hatchery ride-through, peak shaving, and PV energy shifting. FeedMatch shortlists suppliers with poultry references and full BMS scope.

Battery Management System must cover cell balancing, thermal cutoffs, ground-fault detection and remote alarms. Outdoor cabinets need active thermal management in tropical climates.
Bridge-to-genset: 15–60 minutes of tunnel-fan autonomy. Hatchery ride-through: 60–120 seconds. Peak shaving: sized to daily peak-window kWh. See the battery storage engineering guide.
We source this subsystem through vetted off-directory partners. Start a backup-power RFQ and we will shortlist under NDA.

For hatcheries — yes. The several-second transfer gap between grid loss and genset online is enough to disrupt setter climate. For broiler and layer houses, BESS is optional unless the site has frequent grid dips or a time-of-use tariff.
As an order-of-magnitude reference, a 100k-bird tunnel-vent broiler farm on a weak grid typically sizes a 200–400 kWh LFP bank for tunnel-fan bridge and evening ventilation. Exact sizing is scoped in the RFQ.
Every listed supplier goes through reference checks, warranty reviews and factory due diligence. Contact details remain private — all inquiries flow through FeedMatch under NDA.
No. FeedMatch is a vendor-neutral sourcing hub. Suppliers quote directly under NDA and we help compare bids on scope, warranties, service coverage and integration with poultry loads.
Financing is arranged through independent third-party partners, subject to their own approval. FeedMatch introduces qualified projects; approval terms remain with the financier.
Formal supplier quotes typically arrive within 2 business days of a complete RFQ for standard scopes, and 5–10 business days for integrated hybrid packages.
