Financing through independent providers, subject to their approval

Feed and ingredient purchases are normally financed with six instruments: export credit guaranteed by a government agency, short-term trade finance, letters of credit at sight or deferred, supplier credit, financing against stock and receivables, and public or development-bank programs. Typical market tenors run 30–360 days. FeedMatch can help you prepare the information providers ask for and introduce independent providers; any facility, limit or terms are the provider's decision.

GMP+ FSA (Europe/global), FAMI-QS (feed additives/premix), ISO 22000 (food safety systems), plus origin-specific: SFDA (KSA), GACC (China), USDA/FSVP (US). Verify certificate numbers with the issuing body.

Audit history

Request the last three third-party audit reports (SGS, Bureau Veritas, Intertek). Look for repeat findings, not just current status.

Financial due diligence

Two years of audited financials, D&B credit score, court judgments search. A supplier under working-capital stress is a delivery risk regardless of price.

Traceability & CoA

Batch-level Certificate of Analysis for every shipment, retained samples for 6+ months, HACCP flowchart with critical control points documented.

Reference calls

Two active buyers in your region who have taken material in the last 6 months. Ask specifically about consistency and complaint handling.

Contractual protections

Force majeure with defined events; quality tolerances with price adjustment; recall protocol; product liability insurance minimum USD 5M.

No. Qualify the physical origin behind the trader too — most traders will disclose their supply source under NDA.
How often should I re-qualify?
Annually, plus event-triggered (quality complaint, ownership change, region-wide disease outbreak, sanctions exposure).
Does FeedMatch pre-qualify suppliers?
Yes. Every supplier in our network has passed baseline certification, reference and financial checks before appearing in an RFQ.
