Questions buyers ask

What does a layer feed RFQ have to contain to be comparable?
Stage (chick starter, pullet developer or laying-hen feed), tonnage per shipment and per year, packaging, delivery point and Incoterm, delivery cadence, the certificates required per batch and the currency and price basis. Without those, offers are not comparable on landed cost.
Where do the quantities come from?
From your own production plan. The layer feed & cost per egg calculator converts flock size, intake, lay rate and cycle length into tonnes per day, month and cycle. Those figures are carried into this page automatically when you come from the calculator.
Which Incoterm should I use?
That depends on who controls freight, insurance and customs in your market. Buyers importing containerised bagged feed commonly quote CIF or CFR to a named port; buyers served by a domestic mill usually quote delivered to farm. State the one you want and ask for one alternative so you can see the freight cost separately.
Do suppliers contact me directly?
No. FeedMatch is supplier-neutral and human-reviewed. A person reviews your requirement first, approaches qualified manufacturers, and returns offers normalised to the same delivered basis. No supplier receives your details automatically.
Is there a minimum project size?
The US$250,000 minimum applies only to plant and equipment projects; feed, ingredient, premix and additive purchases, including recurring layer compound-feed supply for farms, have no minimum. Requests are reviewed by specification, volume and destination; an annual contract is usually easier to compare than a single truckload.
