Bagging and packing
Definition
Bagging and packing is the weighing, filling, closing and palletising of finished feed. Capacity is measured in bags per hour at a given bag size.
Why it matters
Bagging is often the real constraint on a mill's usable output.
When it affects procurement
When peak hourly production is converted into bags per hour with allowance for changeovers.
Example
600 bags per hour of 25 kg and 50 kg woven polypropylene bags with automatic sewing.
