Time and temperature consume specification

Vitamin potency, oxidation indices and microbiological load all move during storage. A certificate from production tells you where the material started; the storage record tells you how far it has travelled since.

Cross-contamination in shared storage

Shared silos, flat stores and warehouses transfer medicated feed residues, allergens, prohibited animal proteins and pest activity. Ask what occupied the space before, and what sits beside it now.

  • Production date and elapsed storage time
  • Storage temperature and humidity conditions
  • Previous contents of the storage structure and cleaning records
  • Pest control and fumigation records, including chemicals used
