Feed mill financing in Nigeria is normally arranged by the buyer with their own bank, development lender or equipment supplier credit line. How is feed mill financing in Nigeria usually structured?
Most Nigerian feed-mill projects combine owner equity with one or more of: a commercial bank term facility, an agricultural or development-finance facility, supplier or equipment credit from the mill manufacturer, and lease arrangements for specific machinery. The mix depends on the borrower's balance sheet, security available and the lender's own policy. FeedMatch does not lend, broker, arrange, approve or guarantee any facility, and cannot state what terms you would be offered.
What does a lender usually want to see for a feed mill in Nigeria?
Lenders typically ask for a defined scope (capacity, species, process line), an itemised equipment and civil-works budget, a build and commissioning timeline, evidence of land and power, offtake or internal-consumption logic, and the promoters' financial history. FeedMatch prepares the structured project documentation and supplier-facing scope; the credit decision and its conditions rest entirely with your lender.
Can FeedMatch introduce me to a bank or fund?

How much does a feed mill cost in Nigeria?
We do not publish prices, because cost depends on capacity, pelleting versus mash, automation level, civil works, power provision and the equipment origin you choose. Use the project calculators to build your own CAPEX and operating estimate from inputs you enter, then have the result reviewed by a qualified process engineer before you commit funds.
Buying finished feed and ingredients in Nigeria
Finished-feed and ingredient sourcing is a different process from a mill project. Keep the two separate when you brief us.
What do I need before FeedMatch can prepare a feed RFQ?
Species and production stage, tonnage per month, delivery location and Incoterm, packaging, required quality documentation, and any regulatory or certification requirement for import into Nigeria. If you have a target specification, share it; if you do not, say so and the requirement is written around performance and documentation instead.
Does FeedMatch sell feed or ingredients?
No. FeedMatch is not a manufacturer, feed seller, trader or distributor. It is a human-led procurement platform that converts a buyer requirement into a structured RFQ and researches suppliers capable of meeting it.
Will my details or my formula be sent to suppliers automatically?
Never. Nothing leaves FeedMatch without a human review and your written authorisation. There is no open marketplace, no directory and no automatic matching. Formulas you submit are not shared as part of supplier research unless you explicitly instruct it.
Is there a minimum project size?
FeedMatch handles commercial feed-production projects and procurement requirements from about US$250,000 upwards. Smaller enquiries are better served by a local distributor.
How the FeedMatch process works for Nigerian buyers
Every request follows the same path, whatever the country.
What happens after I submit a request?
Your submission is reviewed by a person, not an algorithm. If anything is missing or ambiguous we come back with clarification questions. Once the requirement is complete it is written up as a structured RFQ, capable suppliers are researched against it, and outreach only begins after you approve. Communication with suppliers is then managed through FeedMatch.
Can I track my request?
Yes. Registered buyers sign in to the buyer portal, submit requests there, and see every submission, its review stage, saved cost estimates and any introductions in their dashboard.
Are the calculators binding?
No. Every FeedMatch calculator and formula tool is a preliminary planning aid built from the inputs and assumptions you enter. Results must be reviewed by qualified nutrition, veterinary, feed-science, process-engineering, safety and regulatory professionals before any purchase, build or feeding decision.
