Certification scope is the detail that matters
GMP+, FAMI-QS, FSSC 22000, ISO 22000 and similar schemes certify defined sites, scopes and activities. Verify that the certificate covers the producing site and the specific material being purchased, and that it is current.
Systems evidence beyond the certificate
HACCP plan with identified critical control points, monitoring records, internal audit and corrective-action history, complaint handling, and a tested recall procedure. These are what distinguish a controlled process from a certified logo.

Questions fréquentes
Does certification remove the need for incoming testing?
No. Certification justifies a reduced, risk-based testing frequency for established suppliers. It never replaces verification of safety-critical parameters on the delivered lot.

Traceability is the documented ability to follow a material one step back and one step forward through the chain, and it is what makes a targeted recall possible instead of a total one.
Independent verification means testing the delivered lot at an accredited third-party laboratory using the contractual reference methods, on a properly drawn and retained sample.
A certificate of analysis is a lot-specific record of tested parameters, methods and results; a generic or typical-values sheet is a marketing document, not a certificate.
