Regulatory Compliance

要点

Feed materials must comply with the rules of the country where the feed is fed — covering permitted materials, additive authorisations, contaminant maxima, labelling and species restrictions.

Destination law governs

A material legally traded at origin can be prohibited or restricted at destination. Processed animal protein restrictions, additive authorisation lists and contaminant maxima all differ between jurisdictions and are enforced at the point of use.

Additives require authorisation, not only quality

For additives, the question is not only whether the product meets its specification but whether that additive, at that dose, for that species, is authorised in the destination market — and whether labelling matches the authorised terms.

確認すべき事項

  • Material permitted for the target species in the destination market
  • Additive authorisation number and approved inclusion levels
  • Contaminant maxima in force at destination
  • Labelling requirements including declared composition and additive statements

主なリスク

  • Detention, recall or destruction of non-compliant material
  • Sanctions on the receiving operator's registration
  • Loss of market access for the finished product

よくある誤り

  • Assuming origin-market compliance transfers
  • Overlooking species-specific prohibitions in multi-species mills

よくある質問

Who is responsible for compliance at destination?

The importer and the feed business operator placing the material on the market, regardless of what the exporter stated. That responsibility cannot be contracted away, only supported by supplier documentation.
