Feed mill and aquafeed plant equipment in Indonesia — pelleting and extrusion projects.
Indonesian poultry integrations and shrimp/tilapia producers buy two different plants: compound feed pelleting and aquafeed extrusion. FeedMatch scopes each properly and runs a supplier-neutral comparison across manufacturers able to deliver in-country.
- Poultry pelleting 5–30 t/h
- Shrimp & tilapia extrusion
- Tropical intake & storage
- Island logistics scope

Two plant types, two RFQs
Compound poultry feed and extruded aquafeed share grinding and mixing but diverge completely after conditioning. Quoting them as one package hides cost and confuses suppliers; scope them as separate lines that may share a front end.
Intake, storage and humidity
Ports, truck intake rates and covered storage decide plant availability more often than pellet mill capacity does. Specify intake t/h, silo or flat-store volume, aeration and insect-management approach explicitly.
Power and utilities
Where grid supply is unstable, generator backup and soft-start strategy on large drives must be part of the electrical scope. Ask suppliers for specific energy consumption at your recipe so the generator is sized on real load.
Ingredient supply
Imported soybean meal, wheat, fish meal and additives are the recurring spend. FeedMatch prices the ingredient programme against the same project so the mill is not commissioned into an unpriced supply chain.
Short answer · reviewed August 2026
How is a feed mill specified differently for Indonesia's climate and logistics?
High ambient humidity pushes finished-product moisture targets down (typically 11–12% for pellets, 9–11% for extruded aquafeed) and makes cooler capacity, aspiration and warehouse ventilation part of the core scope rather than an add-on. Multi-island distribution favours bagging lines and palletising over bulk loadout, and imported soybean meal and wheat mean 21–45 days of raw-material storage is common. Sizing itself is unchanged: annual tonnes divided by operating hours, plus headroom.

| Metric | Value | Unit | Basis |
|---|---|---|---|
| Poultry mill class | 5–30 | t/h | Regional producer to integration scale |
| Aquafeed extrusion line | 2–10 | t/h | Shrimp and tilapia feed |
| Pellet moisture target | 11–12 | % | Tropical storage stability |
| Raw-material cover | 21–45 | days | Imported soybean meal and wheat |
| Bagging orientation | 25–50 | kg bags | Multi-island distribution |

Indonesia project path
Indonesia → Poultry & aquaculture → Compound feed & aquafeed → Pelleting & extrusion → Tropical storage → FeedMatch Group
FeedMatch is a supplier-neutral sourcing platform and does not manufacture equipment. Indicative project classes only — final pricing requires a technical specification and current supplier quotations. Project financing may be available subject to buyer, project, country and lender eligibility.
