Vitamin potency, oxidation indices and microbiological load all move during storage. A certificate from production tells you where the material started; the storage record tells you how far it has travelled since.

Shared silos, flat stores and warehouses transfer medicated feed residues, allergens, prohibited animal proteins and pest activity. Ask what occupied the space before, and what sits beside it now.

How do I detect long-stored material?
Compare production date against delivery date, then look for the fingerprints of ageing — rising free fatty acids and anisidine value, falling vitamin assay, caking, and insect fragments on microscopy.
