It is invisible to any visual or simple assay check, accumulates in kidney and liver tissue, and is capped by Directive 2002/32/EC — a failing lot means rejected feed, not just a rejected raw material. Contract cadmium at ≤ 5 mg/kg with an ISO/IEC 17025 certificate per lot, require a declaration of primary versus secondary zinc origin, and sample independently at load or discharge on any new supplier.

Is pharmacological zinc oxide for piglets still allowed?
