Feed Consultant Partner Program

We work with the consultant, not around them. FeedMatch Group supports animal nutrition consultants, feed mill consultants, feed formulation experts, premix and aquafeed consultants with supplier sourcing, RFQ preparation, supplier comparison, financing direction and project options. Your client relationship stays with you.

Send us one feed mill, premix, ingredient or formulation project and we'll help evaluate sourcing options. You decide how involved we are.

Short answer: A feed consultant partner program is a structured arrangement in which an independent sourcing platform prepares RFQs and shortlists qualified third-party suppliers on the consultant's behalf, while the consultant stays client-facing. FeedMatch Group runs that support for feed, ingredient, additive, premix and feed-processing projects from USD $250K+.

How it works

1

You send the project brief

Submit your client's requirement through the consultant intake form — feed mill capacity, premix or ingredient volumes, additive scope, budget band and timeline. Client identity is optional; a coded reference is enough to start.

2

We prepare the RFQ package

We turn the brief into a structured RFQ suppliers can quote against: scope of supply, capacity and specification tables, Incoterms, packaging, documentation and inspection requirements.

3

We source and shortlist suppliers

We approach qualified third-party suppliers across feed mill equipment, ingredients, premixes and additives, and return a comparable shortlist with scope differences made explicit.

4

You present, we support

You present the options to your client under your own name if you prefer. We stay behind the scenes for technical clarification, revised quotations, financing direction and follow-up.

You keep the client relationship

  • Your client relationship stays with you. We work through you, not around you.
  • We don't contact your client unless you ask us to, or approve it.
  • You decide how involved we are — quietly in the background, or on the technical calls with you.
  • Clients you bring stay yours, including repeat projects.
  • Start with one project. No exclusivity, no signup fee, no retainer.
  • If you want an NDA before sharing client details, just say so and we'll sign one.
  • Keep using your existing suppliers. Use us only where you have a gap.

Consultant partnership FAQ

What is a feed consultant partner program?
A feed consultant partner program is a structured arrangement in which an independent sourcing platform supports nutrition and feed mill consultants with supplier sourcing, RFQ preparation and supplier shortlists, while the consultant keeps the client relationship. At FeedMatch Group the consultant submits a project brief, we prepare the RFQ and source qualified third-party suppliers, and the consultant presents the options to their client.
How can animal nutrition consultants find verified suppliers?
Nutrition consultants can shortlist suppliers by defining the specification first — ingredient grade, guaranteed analysis, contaminant limits, packaging, Incoterm and documentation — and then screening candidates against published qualification criteria such as trading history, plant or origin audits, certification, test-report practice and reference volumes. FeedMatch Group runs that screening on the consultant's behalf and returns a comparable shortlist rather than a directory list.
How can feed mill consultants prepare better RFQs?
A quotable feed mill RFQ states target capacity in tonnes per hour by product type, the required process line (intake, cleaning, grinding, dosing, mixing, pelleting or extrusion, cooling, bagging, bulk out-loading), electrical and civil interfaces, automation level, Incoterm and delivery point, commissioning and training scope, and spare-parts expectations. Without those, quotations are not comparable. FeedMatch Group builds that package from the consultant's brief.
How does FeedMatch Group support consultants?
FeedMatch Group supports consultants behind the scenes with supplier sourcing, RFQ preparation, feed mill equipment matching, ingredient and premix sourcing, formulation and cost calculators, documentation references, and introductions to independent third-party finance providers. It is an independent B2B procurement and sourcing platform for feed projects from USD $250K+ and does not replace the consultant's advisory role.
Can consultants keep control of their client relationship?
Yes. Your client relationship stays with you — we work through you and stay in the background by default. You decide how visible we are, and if you want an NDA before sharing client details we'll sign one.
Does FeedMatch Group contact the consultant's client directly?
No. We don't contact your client unless you ask us to or approve it. You can send a project using a coded client reference instead of a name, and if you do want us on a technical call we join in the role you define.
How are partner commissions handled?
Simply: we're paid by the supply side on completed business, and anything involving you is agreed with you first — there is no signup fee and no retainer. Indicative starting points are 2–4% on equipment and project scope between USD $250K and $1M, 1.5–3% above USD $1M, and 0.5–2% on recurring ingredient, premix or additive supply.
Can FeedMatch Group help with feed mills, premix, ingredients and feed additives?
Yes. Scope covers turnkey and partial feed mill plants, grinding, mixing, pelleting, extrusion, dosing, packaging and storage equipment, plus bulk ingredients, protein meals, amino acids, vitamins, minerals, enzymes, premixes and feed additives, including recurring supply contracts.
Can FeedMatch Group support poultry, aquaculture, ruminant and swine feed projects?
Yes. Project support spans poultry feed, aquafeed and extruded floating or sinking feed, ruminant and dairy concentrates, swine feed and pet food inputs, for commercial mills, integrators, cooperatives and institutional or NGO-funded programmes.

Feed mill supplier sourcing

For consultants specifying grinding, mixing, pelleting, extrusion, dosing, bagging or turnkey feed mill plants.

How do consultants source feed mill equipment suppliers for a client project?
Start from the process flow rather than from a supplier list: fix target capacity in tonnes per hour by product, the required line (intake, cleaning, grinding, dosing, mixing, conditioning, pelleting or extrusion, cooling, bagging, bulk out-loading), automation level, and the electrical and civil interfaces on site. Only then approach suppliers, and require every quotation to answer the same scope table. FeedMatch Group builds that scope table from a consultant's brief and returns a shortlist of qualified third-party suppliers whose scope differences are shown line by line.
What makes feed mill quotations comparable?
Quotations are comparable when they share the same battery limits, capacity basis, product mix, Incoterm and delivery point, installation and commissioning scope, training days, spare-parts package, warranty period and documentation set. Differences in any one of these can move the delivered cost of a feed mill by 15-30% without changing the headline machine price, which is why a normalised comparison table matters more than a lowest-price sort.
What budget range should a consultant expect for a feed mill project?
FeedMatch Group supports feed and feed-processing projects from USD $250K upward. Indicative bands seen in buyer-side offers run from small 3-5 t/h pelleting lines through mid-size 10-20 t/h compound feed mills to multi-line plants with extrusion; the driver is usually product mix, storage and automation rather than the mill itself. Use the mill CapEx and ROI calculators for a first pass, then confirm with a live quotation.

Premix and additive supplier matching

For nutritionists specifying vitamin-mineral premixes, trace minerals, amino acids, enzymes and feed additives.

How are premix suppliers matched to a consultant's specification?
Matching starts with the consultant's premix sheet: inclusion rate per tonne of finished feed, carrier, vitamin and trace-mineral levels with the source form (oxide, sulphate, chelated), overages, particle size, packaging, shelf life and the analytical certificate expected per batch. Suppliers are then screened on plant certification, batch traceability, third-party test-report practice and reference volumes at that inclusion rate, so the shortlist is comparable on specification rather than on headline price per kilogram.
Can a consultant keep their own premix formula confidential?
Yes. A premix can be sourced against a blinded specification — nutrient targets, source forms and tolerances — without disclosing the full proprietary formula, and FeedMatch Group will sign an NDA before any specification is shared with suppliers. Consultants can also send a project under a coded client reference instead of the client's name.
How should feed additive offers be compared?
Compare on cost per unit of active delivered into the finished feed, not on cost per kilogram of product: normalise the guaranteed activity or concentration, the recommended inclusion rate, stability through pelleting or extrusion temperatures, carrier and packaging, and the documentation required in the destination market. Two additive offers at the same price per kilogram routinely differ by a factor of two once activity and inclusion rate are normalised.

Feed formulation and cost-optimisation support

For formulation work: least-cost rations, ingredient substitution, and defending a recommendation in procurement review.

What formulation support does FeedMatch Group give consultants?
Consultants get least-cost formulation aids, species and phase nutrient reference targets, inclusion-rate references, ingredient substitution comparisons, feed cost per tonne and mill CapEx/ROI calculators, and unit converters. These are decision-support tools used inside the consultant's own work; FeedMatch Group does not issue nutritional recommendations to the consultant's client.
How can a consultant cost a formulation change before committing?
Price the change on landed cost per tonne of finished feed, not on ingredient price: take the substitution's inclusion rate, adjust the balancing ingredients and amino acid or energy sources it displaces, then add freight, duty, handling and shrink for the delivered trade lane. The feed cost calculator and landed-cost views produce that per-tonne delta so the recommendation survives a procurement review.
Does using FeedMatch Group change who owns the nutritional recommendation?
No. The formulation, the nutritional judgement and the client relationship stay with the consultant. FeedMatch Group supplies sourcing, RFQ preparation, supplier comparison and financing direction behind the scenes, and only appears in front of the client if the consultant asks.
