Conservative reflects weak biosecurity or open housing; Expected reflects a modern climate-controlled house with average genetics performance; Optimistic reflects best-in-class management, premium market access and stable input prices.

Does the ROI model include financing cost, depreciation and tax?

Accepted Answer

No. Reported figures are gross operating profit and payback on total CAPEX before interest, depreciation and tax. Your bankable financial model must layer in local tax treatment, financing structure, working capital and depreciation.

Does the CAPEX include land and site work?

Accepted Answer

No. The figure is equipment plus the house structure, delivered and installed. Land, civil works beyond the pad, utilities to boundary, pullets/chicks and working capital are separate.

How is the financing need calculated?

70% of the CAPEX midpoint — a typical loan-to-value ceiling for equipment finance and export credit facilities. Actual LTV, tenor and pricing are set by the financing partner after due diligence.
